Mrs. Posegay's first Grade

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Posegay and I am so excited to be your first grade teacher!  I can't wait to see you on the first day of school and to get to know you better in the next few weeks.

 This will be my 10th year teaching in Parkland, and my 8th year teaching first grade (I've also taught 4th and 2nd grade). 
    I grew up in Ewing, New Jersey and moved to Allentown when I was in 8th grade.  I graduated from Parkland High School and then attended Penn State University (Go Nittany Lions!).  I also received my Master’s degree and Reading Specialist Certification at Cedar Crest College. I have a sister, Erin, who lives in Philadelphia, and a brother, Matt, who goes to Penn State.  My husband, Marc, and I live in Orefield with our daughter Elizabeth and our dog, Lola.  Elizabeth just turned 2 on August 25th and Lola is a 6 year old German Shepherd.  You will probably hear lots of funny stories about her and Elizabeth this year! They are best friends (except when they are arguing over snacks! :) )

 

In my spare time I love reading, playing with Lola and Elizabeth, drawing, and running.  I also love spending time at the beach with my family and going to Penn State football games.  Marc and I even got married at Penn State and had our reception in the football stadium!

I can't wait for all of the fun we will have in first grade!
